7th Grade Spanish Students Prepare Tapas and Learn about Spanish Cuisine
7th graders in Sra. Dieken and Sra. Lynn's Spanish classes explored the vibrant food cultures of Granada and Barcelona during a visit to the school's Teaching Kitchen.
Under the guidance of Chef Jaz, students prepared three different types of tapas: gazpacho, pan tumaca (crispy bread topped with tomatoes and garlic), and alubias (a bean dish). This culinary exploration was a fun and immersive culmination of the students' yearlong language and cultural studies.
