Dalton Fall Teams wrapped up a standout Fall that included a league championship by Girls Soccer, two state tournament selections, and an undefeated season by Football.
Congratulations to the Girls Soccer and Volleyball teams who qualified for the NYSAIS Postseason Tournament.
Girls Soccer was seeded #1 overall in the NYSAIS tournament after wrapping up the Ivy League championship on Friday, their first regular season title since 2001. Dalton was dominant this year, finishing with 11 wins, 2 draws, and just one loss. Dalton will host the winner of the opening-round matchup of #8 Sacred Heart vs #9 Columbia Prep on Wednesday, November 1, at Randall's Island at 2:30 PM.
Volleyball tied for second in the Ivy League this season, one of their top finishes in recent years. Dalton was seeded 9th overall in the NYSAIS Tournament and will play against the #8 seed Stony Brook on Monday, October 30, at 5:00 PM.
After finishing the regular season undefeated with a perfect 6-0 record, Dalton Football was seeded second in the MIFL Bowl Championship. Dalton will play on Saturday, November 4, against the #3 seed Horace Mann. The location and time for the game will be posted on the Athletics website once available.
Finally, the Dalton Cross Country team had a solid showing at the Ivy League championship race last week that included senior Naomi Gomel finishing among the top five runners. They will next compete in the NYSAIS championship race at Van Cortlandt Park on Monday, November 6.
We hope you can come and show your support for all the teams!
