House 25 Visits High School Jazz Ensemble at Big Dalton
As part of their Social Studies unit on NYC neighborhoods, Second Graders in House 25 have been exploring the history and culture of Harlem.
Students learned about the formative historical developments that shaped the neighborhood, such as The Great Migration, The Harlem Renaissance, and the many writers, artists, and performers that shaped these movements. House 25 also visited the High School Jazz Class for a performance led by Glenn Makos to enhance their understanding of music as a cultural tool.
