6th Grade Celebrate Young Authors Recognized by Scholastic Magazine
The power of words continues to flourish in the 6th Grade! Just a month ago, we lauded the achievements of three young accomplished writers who emerged victorious in Scholastic Scope national writing contests. Now, as we step into the new year, two more budding wordsmiths claim their place in the winners' circle.
Congratulations to Christopher “Jae” Jinn ‘30 and Ayana Ashraf ‘30 who were recognized by the Scholastic Magazine editors for their exceptional writing. In an essay based upon a story titled “Lost in Death Valley,” Jae considered the age-old question: How can we make good decisions in challenging situations? In a captivating sequel to ”The Storm,” Ayanna unveiled her creative storytelling abilities as she explored the theme of conflict between friends.
This has been a banner year for our 6th Grade writers, and we're excited to see what the future holds for all of them!
