Dalton Model Congress Shines at Harvard Model Congress and Brearley Model Congress
Earlier this month, Dalton’s Model Congress team, led by captains Pippa Lee ‘24 and William Foley ‘24, traveled to San Francisco to compete at Harvard Model Congress San Francisco’s 24th annual conference. Equipped with comprehensive notes and extensive research on briefing topics such as the state of healthcare in the US, the future of work in rural America, and the impact of AI on small businesses, the team of 30 engaged in simulated congressional committees and special committees. Assuming the roles of various congressmen and political figures, the team successfully competed and received awards in several committees like the Presidential Cabinet, House Committee on Investigations, and Historical Committee.
A week later, the team took on the closer to home, one-day Brearley Model Congress conference. Team members won best delegate in 7 out of 8 committees, totaling an impressive 21 awards, the most of any school in attendance.
