The Music Department took groups of students to David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center to see performances by the New York Philharmonic. High school students in Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, and Composition Workshop attended a performance on January 12 to see work by Prokofiev, Bartok and Coleridge-Taylor with violin soloist Hilary Hahn. 7th and 8th Grade students in all music classes went on January 19 to see the 100th anniversary Young People’s Concerts featuring Mussorgksy’s Pictures at an Exhibition.
