FP Hosts Annual “Souper” Bowl Event to Benefit the New York Common Pantry
Throughout the week, FP students donated food cans and participated in a friendly “can rolling” competition to see which can rolled the farthest. Some fun facts coming out of the week -
- Lentil soup rolled the farthest at 9+ meters and second place goes to crushed tomatoes, chickpea, and black bean!
- 195 cans rolled between 2-5 meters.
- In an informal poll, chicken noodle soup came away as the clear winner for favorite canned food.
- Our favorite - Many students brought in more than one food can in case a classmate forgot!
Thank you to all the families who donated cans. Overall, a total of 337 (along with plasticware) will be donated to the New York Common Pantry.
