The dhol, a drum traditionally found in Punjabi communities in South Asia and through the diaspora, has been the focus of the High School Percussion Workshop course this semester. Under the guidance of Dr. Bill Solomon, students have been exploring this instrument, and Mr. Jain’s visit provided them with an incredible opportunity to learn from a master drummer and cultural ambassador of this rich musical sound.
