Dalton Students and Faculty Take Part in Race For Hope
Last weekend, more than twenty Dalton students, faculty members, and parents took part in the Race for Hope 5K in Manhattan.
Anysa Bickici ‘25 served as a Student Ambassador, helping bring together students from 6th to 12th grade for a beautiful day of running, walking, and raising money and awareness for mental health research. Bickici helped organize the second iteration of this race last May and became one of the leading student voices this year, as people from around the tri-state area joined forces to call attention to mental health issues in teenagers.
The Hope for Depression Research Foundation (HDRF) funds innovation in the psychopharmaceutical industry for research in mental health. Annually, the foundation organizes a teen-led 5K “Race for Hope” fundraiser for the cause. HDRF strives to create youth-driven change by breaking the stigma around mental health, especially for teenagers in NYC.
