Magic and meaning came together during Drag Queen Story Time with the fabulous Hibiscus, who delighted children with two beloved books: “Harriet Gets Carried Away” and “And Tango Makes Three”, the latter co-authored by Dalton parents Justin Richardson P’27 and Peter Parnell P’27.

One of the evening’s highlights was a voguing workshop and performance led by Jason Rodriguez, star of the acclaimed Netflix series “Pose”. Attendees of all ages learned to strike a pose, move with confidence, and celebrate self-expression.

Families worked together on rainbow-themed projects, enjoyed rainbow sprinkle ice cream, and plenty of rainbow candy.

The evening served not only as a celebration of LGBTQ+ pride but also as a powerful expression of allyship — reminding all students, including those who have not yet self-identified, that they are seen, supported, and loved at Dalton.
