Middle School Government Sponsors an Afternoon of Art and Wellness
In early June, 4th grade students took part in an afternoon of art and wellness sponsored by the Middle School Government.
“It’s a reminder that taking care of ourselves, expanding our horizons and having opportunities to be creative is just as important as our academic goals.” These were some of the words shared with the 4th grade by the Middle School Government. Hoping to reinforce the idea to students that it is okay to step away from routine and focus on personal well-being, Co-Presidents Penelope Bachrach ‘29 and Anthony Joo ‘29 worked throughout the year to develop the Middle School’s first Wellness and the Arts Fair. In sessions led by Dalton faculty and staff, 4th grade students engaged in activities such as pottery painting, creating care menus, and restorative yoga.
