"You Are What You Eat" Visits Hilltop Hanover Farm
Last week, students in the senior elective "You Are What You Eat: A Critical Investigation into Food Production, Consumption, and Justice” traveled to Hilltop Hanover Farm in Yorktown Heights, New York.
In addition to touring the farm, students witnessed and engaged directly in sustainable agriculture and the cultivation of native plants, as well as explored watershed management and the local food pathways. Students harvested and prepared their own lunch consisting of spring rolls made with radishes, carrots, cabbage, fresh herbs, and more. Time with the goats and cows was special, too.
