Our school came alive with color, stories, and shared traditions as students, teachers, and families came together to celebrate Lunar New Year.
During Friday’s House 91 at First Program, teachers and students shared video reflections on why Lunar New Year is meaningful to them, highlighting special memories and traditions connected to this cultural holiday. Students spoke about family gatherings, festive meals, red envelopes, and customs that make this time of year so special.
Parents also played an important role in the celebrations by visiting classrooms to read books about Lunar New Year and share personal traditions from their own cultures, helping enrich students’ understanding of the holiday.
The festivities continue next week throughout the divisions. Wishing Happy Lunar New Year to those who celebrate!
