High School Cinema Class Brings Movie Magic to Second Graders
Señor San Juan’s High School Hispanic Cinema class stopped by 91st Street to visit Maestra Nivia’s Spanish classes, where they presented their films and engaged younger students in meaningful discussions.
The movies’ themes explored ethnic foods, the importance of sharing, sportsmanship, recycling, and more, all conducted entirely en Español.
The High School students prepared interactive presentations featuring games and questions connected to each theme, giving second graders a fun and authentic opportunity to practice their Spanish skills. At the same time, the 12th graders strengthened their own language abilities while developing leadership and communication skills.
It was a highly engaging and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. ¡Que viva el Español!
