Last week, led by Dalton senior Sophie Kim-Yatter '26, students in the High School performed a reenactment of United States v. Wong Kim Ark, the 1898 Supreme Court case that established the parameters of birthright citizenship.
An audience of Dalton Middle School and High School students and faculty viewed the presentation. Following the reenactment, Judge Denny Chin of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit answered questions from the audience about the philosophy and methodology of legal reenactment.
