On a beautiful fall weekend the Dalton Tigers celebrated their homecoming.
The festivities kicked off with the first annual Tiger Pride run around the bridal path in central park. Over 25 faculty, students, and alumni ran the 1.6 mile course. Meanwhile in the gym, the girls JV volleyball team fell to Trinity, in a tight contest. The Girls varsity volleyball team followed up with an impressive three set victory over Trinity, winning the deciding game, 15-12. The first day's events concluded with a spirited Pep Rally.
Saturday morning's activities got off to a fast start for the 250 fans
in attendance as the Girls Varsity soccer team beat Trinity 3-1,
avenging an early season loss. The Boys JV soccer team was also
victorious, winning 2-0. The success continued with a thrilling
victory by the Girls Varsity tennis team and the Girls JV soccer team.
Although not every team was victorious, all the squads put up strong
efforts. The Boys Varsity soccer team played a tough match, falling to
Trinity 1-0 on a goal with just under six minutes left in the game and
the Girls JV tennis team lost a tight 4-3 battle. The day was capped by
the football team's 26-0 victory over Sacred Heart.
