First Program Students Ring in the Lunar New Year - The year of the Ox!
The Lunar New Year begins on the first new moon of the New Year. For many Asian families around the world, the Lunar New Year is a celebration of change and rings in all of the good and ends all of the bad.
To celebrate the Lunar New Year, students were delighted to hear stories told by parents and grandparents, eat delicious foods and join, in a dragon dance. They also tried on special clothing worn during this time of year and made vases for their lucky bamboo plants.
