Veggie Van Visits Dalton
If you happened to walk past Dalton recently, you may have noticed two curious vehicles parked out front: a biodiesal and solar powered bus and an algae powered Prius. Students were able to talk to check out these innovative vehicles -- currently part of a national tour sponsored by the veggie van organization -- and chat with the veggie van staff.
Inside, at Assembly, the a 35-minute version of the film Fuel was screened. Fuel, directed by Josh Tickell and produced by Rebecca Harrell, won best documentary at the Sundance festival.
Students and faculty responded positively to the movie with intelligent questions and hope-filled comments.
