The real world has come to 6th grade math classes with the annual Stock Market Game Competition. Parents with financial expertise visited classrooms to provide students with an introduction to stocks, the stock market and trading. In this competition with students from NYC and Westchester, 6th graders work in groups and are "given" $100,000.00 to "play" the Stock Market in real time. They then research and make decisions based on current market conditionr.  Learn more by going www.stockmarketgame.org, or, better yet, ask a 6th grader!
