On a warm Sunday afternoon the girls track team won its second Ivy league championship in the past three years edging Hackley 151-146 in the tightest championship meet in the past 15 years. It was a total team effort as the 17 girls came together and pulled off the thrilling victory.

Trailing 132-119 with just the 4x400 and javelin left, Dalton squeezed out the victory. Isabel Ostrer, Charlotte Barber, and Janelle Bradley swept the top three places earning a huge 24 points for the Tigers. At the same time as the javelin was going on, the 4x400 team of Anna Cornelius-Schecter, Sophia Edelstein, Ostrer, and Jillian Williams took second behind Hackley to secure the title.

The hard work of the team put us in a position for that exciting finish. Talia Calnek-Sugin and Malina Buturovic got the day started coming in 3rd and 4th in the two mile. Nora Buccino and Courtney Davis continued the strong showing with fourth and sixth place finish in the 100 hurdles. Williams then heated up the track winning the mile with Calnek-Sugin coming in 5th. Taylor Wright placed fourth in the 100-meter dash. Dalton then took 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the 400 with Williams Davis, and Alexa Yurick claiming the spots. Davis followed up her 3rd place finish with a second place effort in the 400 hurdles. Anna Cornelius-Shechter placed fourth and Buccino came in 6th. Williams took the 800 followed by Calnek-Sugin in fourth. Wright finished off the track events with a thrilling third place finish in the 200. The 4x100 team of Wright, Davis, Crystal Bryan, and Buccino took 3rd in a blazing 53.8. That's only half the story as the field eventers had a dominating day. Ostrer took 3rd in the pole vault and Isalyn Connell came in fourth. Connell then took the high jump title and Buccino came in sixth. Ostrer, Bradley, and Barber took 4th, 5th and 6th in the Discus and Wright placed sixth in the shot put.
Congrats to All-Ivy performers: Freshman Taylor Wright and Sophia Edelstein; Sophomores Nora Buccino and Courtney Davis; Juniors Charlotte Barber, Janelle Bradley, Crystal Bryan, Talia Calnek-Sugin, and Jillian Williams; Seniors Isalyn Connell, Anna Cornelius-Schechter, and Isabel Ostrer.
