In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. the Middle School Assemblies paid tribute to Dr. King's words and life. In house, students discussed Dr. King's legacy and then wrote reflections or poems on selected quotations from Dr. King, or they documented interviews of someone who they feel embodies Dr. King's dedication to service.
At assembly, some students read their essays or poems, others presented interviews using keynote and/or video. In addition to the assembly presentations, some 6th graders created artwork to express Dr. King' s words and/or life of service and these are on display in the right showcase of the lobby at 89th Street.
