The 8th grade ended their Public Speaking Assiggnmnet for English Class with their annual Public Speaking finals at assembly.  The speeches varied in topic but were all meant to pursuade the audience to the speaker's point of view.There were 13 finalists in all and they were judged by: Ellen Stein, Head of School; Jim Best Assistant Head of School, Lorri Hamilton Durbin, MS Director; Lisa Waller, HS Director; and Jay Golon, MS Dean of Students/Asst. Director.  Eloise Ackman was awarded first place, Rachel Covey came in second, and, for the first time ever, there was a tie for 3rd place between Emma Ullman-Kissel and Anya Carter.
