Science teacher, Will Hopkins and members of the 5th grade planted seeds right before Spring break that will later be placed in beds on the 5th floor terrace of the 89th Street building. These seeds will grow throughout the summer, and in the fall the rising 5th graders will harvest what has grown as a fitting ending for our literature unit on Seedfolks, by Paul Fleischman. Our interconnectedness and our role in community is underscored by this unique opportunity.
