Dalton's new Kindergarteners took very little time getting to work in their Houses in the first week of school. As many of them are not yet writing, painting becomes an important aspect of self-expression. Browsing picture books, listening to stories, and sharing thoughts about their meaning develops comprehension skills and fosters appreciation and eventually command of the written word...and then there's snack!
