D.E.A.R. - Drop Everything And Read
FP teachers find time in their busy schedules to include weekly D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) program. D.E.A.R. is a special time where the children, teachers, and guests get to read just for fun!! Everyone finds a nice comfortable spot and reads to themselves. Here is a snippet from a note to the teachers, "I loved D.E.A.R!
What a special program to have created and a unique way to allow parents into the classroom for a shared experience. The best part is that we are invited back each week to do it again. Thank you for sharing your classroom and the children with us. Kind regards and appreciation."
The children love getting cozy with Mom, Dad, or a special guest. Mr. P. and Mrs. Kohart also like having the opportunity to read during the day!! The program is held every Tuesday throughout the school year.
