Ellen Stein Shares Summer Story : "The House Takes a Vacation"
On May 17, Ellen Stein, Head of School, reminded House 91 to consider how many days are left before school is out and summer vacation begins. In anticipation of summer, Ellen read Jacqueline Davies' picture book, "The House Takes a Vacation."
Featuring colorful and whimsical illustrations by Lee White, the book tells the imaginary tale about a family that takes a summer vacation, and while they are gone, their house decides to take one too. The children giggled at the puns and humorous situations, which Ms. Stein masterfully conveyed.
