House 91 - "One" Makes a Difference for Ally Week
On Friday, October 18, students and faculty at First Program celebrated the start of Ally Week during our House 91 assembly. We discussed what it means to be an ally, the significance of the rainbow flag, and the importance of Ally Week (October 21-25) as a time to support people in the gay and lesbian community in particular.
Through a heartwarming song, a thoughtful discussion about the messages in the book "One," the picture book by Katherine Otoshi, and a rousing cheer, we all affirmed that the Dalton community is committed to being a "safe space" for everyone always.
