FP Children Create, Collect, Sort, and Donate to Help Others
Create: As part of First Program’s efforts on behalf of the Penny Harvest, the children created a wonderful “Circle of Caring.” Each House completed one ‘slice’ of the circle, filling it in with those things about which they care. Collect and Sort: First Program students brought in coins they've collected from friends, families and neighbors. They sorted the coins with the help of parent volunteers.
Donate: Our students research specific organizations and decide where to allocate the funds. Schools that successfully collect a minimum of 25 full sacks of pennies qualify for their own Philanthropy Roundtable. Through the round table process, students allocate funds to community-based organizations and community service projects.
Thank you to the Dalton community for your help and your support.
