Vivian Lee (Erin Chen's mother) visited House 36. She shared Korean information about traditional dress, music, and language. Each child made a sogo. The sogo became a commonly used drum in Korean music. Korean drums play an important part in traditional Korean music, ranging from folk music to royal court music. The children learned about the symbols for the sky and the sea (Yin and yang), decorated their drums, and each had an opportunity to write their names in Korean.
