On Monday, about 40 seventh and eighth grade students competed for ten spots on the Dalton Math Counts team.
Math Counts is a national organization that uses math games, puzzles and competition to engage middle school students in the hopes of expanding their academic and professional opportunities. The ten students who will represent Dalton at the city wide competition will be selected this week. They will compete against other schools in the Manhattan division and if they advance will then take on other students from around the city.
