On Friday March 7, the tenth grade held an ice cream party in the cafeteria after dismissal. Tenth grade presidents John "Remy" Young and Bernie Wright proposed the idea as a way for the tenth grade class to do something fun. Tenth grade deans David Gomprecht and Sam Hunt agreed it was a great idea.
What began as a gathering of tenth grade students and their deans quickly became a party of students and faculty members from across both the middle and high school divsions who happened to be in the vicinity of the cafeteria. The rallying cry of "hey do you want some ice cream" is all it took to have people flooding into the cafeteria. It was a great event that united everyone who enjoyed ice cream, sprinkles, jokes and laughter.
The tenth grade proposed a few more activities, which are in the planning stages. In the mean time the class will continue to create more fun moments for each other to enjoy.
