Invited to participate at the White House Science Fair and positioned at the first table to be visited, Dalton senior Elana Simon shared her research findings in a 5 minute chat with President Obama, after he first entered the Fair. The President admitted that he had been reading up on Elana's story, asking her several questions about her work and findings, and commending her by saying, "This young lady is remarkable." He added, "We are proud of you," and with a hug, told Elana, "You are doing great."
