Author George Hagen Visits the Fourth Grade
The 4th grade was privileged to listen to George Hagen, author of several well-received adult books, talk about his first for children, Gabriel Finley and the Raven's Riddle. Set in Brooklyn, the story involves a trio of brave children, ravens who tell riddles, magic, and more.
Speaking to a room of fourth grade students on Tuesday, October 9, Hagen, originally from Zimbabwe, captivated our young writers with his personal history, the notion of idea of collecting, and --- perhaps the most fun --- regaled them with riddles and other word games.
