Dalton Dances on Ice and Under the Stars with Ivan the Tiger
On a balmy November evening last week, 850 members of the Dalton community came together to skate under the stars in Central Park, for Dalton on Ice 2014. Students from both Little and Big Dalton, along with parents, faculty members and Ivan the Tiger (aka Dalton alum and parent Charles Simon), enjoyed skating, dinner, drinks, crafts and great music.
Students cheered as Wollman Rink's deejay revealed the favorite song of each class for grades K-4 (K: "Happy"; first grade: "Let It Go"; second grade: "Gangnam Style"; third grade: "Shake It Off"; and fourth grade: "All About That Bass"). Raffle winners won an iPad, a photo session with Classic Kids, and toy and candy centerpieces. "One of my favorite Dalton events of the year," said a parent at the end of the event. With the beautiful weather on our side, the evening allowed us to celebrate the fun and friendships that make Dalton such a wonderful community.
