Thanksgiving Service Project - Dalton Families Volunteer
A group of Dalton students and parents worked along side volunteers from several other organizations to help sort and assemble Thanksgiving packages. The groups decended on The New York Common Pantry on Saturday, November 22 2014, to help feed those in need.
The New York Common Pantry is a local agency that distributes approximately 9,000 Thanksgiving packages to families in need. The pantry relies on the support of volunteers to donate food items and to get the packages assembled and ready to be distributed for the holiday.
Together, the volunteers were able to package 1,300 meals for families this Thanksgiving.
