House 41 - Flags of the World Cafe
It's not just about the food! The first grade students in House 41 have been studying cuisines from around the world, visiting restaurants, writing restaurant reviews, and growing their own vegetables on the roof outside the Science Room. All of this in preparation for the big grand opening of their own restaurant Flags of the World Cafe.
Flags of the World Cafe served parents, teachers and even offered take out service.
The meal concluded with delicious homemade fudge and flag cookies, live entertainment and a visit from a NY health inspector. The Flags of the World Cafe earned an A all around. The money raised will be going to the charity Pajama Program. http://www.pajamaprogram.org/.
