Head of School Jim Best Welcomes Annual Fund Volunteers at Kick-Off Breakfast
At this week's opening meeting, Head of School Jim Best thanked Annual Fund Co-Chairs Rosemary Vellucci, Erik Hartog, and Tara Cohen Stewart & Adrian Stewart for their time, effort, and leadership in this very important endeavor. In his remarks to the Annual Fund volunteers in attendance, he said, "We rely on a robust Annual Fund to support the innovative teaching and learning that happens at Dalton every day. The work you'll do is critical to the success, to the energy, and to the enthusiasm of our students and our school. So thank you!"
New Annual Fund Director Colleen Grimes congratulated the Class of 2030 and the Kindergarten committee for reaching 100% participation. Our other grade leaders included the Class of 2029 (1st grade, 96% participation), Class of 2027 (3rd grade, 94% participation), and Class of 2026 (4th grade, 94% participation). Co-Chair Erik Hartog (Charlotte '24, Madeline '21) reminded the group that participation demonstrates our community's strength and shared commitment and is key to a successful year.
New Campaign Director Hannah Cobin, who has led the Annual Fund for the past eight years, reminded volunteers to urge community members to make their Annual Fund gift first, before making a Campaign gift or pledge. Community members should look for their Annual Fund appeal in the mail, or they can make their gift now at Dalton Make a Gift.
Dalton's Development team is looking forward to working in close partnership with Annual Fund volunteers for a successful year!
