Author/Illustrator Breanna Carzoo Will be Visiting FP on Thursday, April 25! Mark your calendars.
Breanna Carzoo's first picture book, Lou, was the winner of the 2023 Dalton Award, which FP students voted on last spring. Her visit will prepare K-3 students for this year's book vote, when they will have to once again elect the best picture book of the year.
Second Graders Fix Makerspace Table
When the makerspace table broke, some House 24 heroes took it upon themselves to fix it for us! They went through several iterations, trying out different materials, and labbed with various teachers, before collaborating with some high school students to create a beautiful end result. Thankfully, our makerspace has now been returned to it's former glory!
Special thanks to Laura Zanes of art, Dan Musick of the 89th street woodshop, Elmedin Hadzic from facilities, and high schoolers Hannah Diker and Hannah Wang.
