Dalton Writers Warm Up Winter Audience with Poetry and Prose

Dalton's Creative Writing students shared poems and prose at the High School assembly on Wednesday, January 5, 2016. The heads of Dalton's creative writing magazine Blue Flag: Pearce Green '16, Katie McClimon '16, and Kathy Franco '17 welcomed readers whose works will appear in the mag's next issue, coming out very soon. The audience was pin-drop quiet as they respectfully listened and appreciated each student reader/writer and responded with energetic applause.
High School English Teacher and Creative Writing Program Coordinator Chris Hood praised the audience for their respectful attentiveness and invited more students to join the already enrolled 79 in second-semester creative writing classes. Mr. Hood also mentioned that like last year, there will be two issues of Blue Flag for the 2015-16 school year. He also announced plans to host one more reading in the Spring.
