FP Students and Teachers Honored Martin Luther King Jr.
To celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. the First Program chose to commemorate his inspiring words by reflecting on and responding to quotations from Dr. King's speeches and letters. Students shared in a variety of ways, through poetry and prose, video segments, dance and movement as well as artwork. Houses presented individually, and in some cases, Buddy Houses worked together. The richness of the presentations was truly reflective of Dr. King's vision regarding civil rights, human rights, peace, courage, social justice, and the capacity to bring his dream forward.
