DMUN featured eight committees, all chaired by Dalton upperclassmen, which ranged in size from 15 to 200 delegates. Committee topics included money laundering, security of states with limited recognition, and youth unemployment. The conference also included several extensive historical crisis simulations, including committees addressing the Somali Civil War, Bolshevik Revolution, and the Hungarian Revolution. The team also hosted a record number of Middle School students this year, both from Dalton and other New York City schools, helping to extend its passion for diplomacy and debate to the next generation.

Throughout the day, the conference challenged Delegates to think deeply about nuanced and pervasive issues of international relations. For many Dalton seniors, DMUN served as the conclusion of four years participating in Model UN conferences. The team is incredibly appreciative to the administration, faculty chaperones, and building services for all their support, and is thrilled to be concluding another successful MUN season!
