Third Graders Work With a Teaching Artist From Atlantic Theater Company

The entire third grade saw the musical production 1001 Nights at the Atlantic Theater Company. The musical features puppets and was written by Adam Koplan and Robert Lopez, who also wrote the music to Frozen. 1001 Nights is a playful adaptation of the “Arabian Nights” fairy tale.
To prepare for this trip, the third graders worked with a teaching artist from ATC during their dance/theatre class. They learned about various theater conventions, specialized vocabulary, and storytelling techniques.
