popFood Serves Up Big Sur Bakery Inspired Fare for Mothers Day Pop-up Brunch
Several families delighted in a special Mother's Day Sunday brunch conceived, cooked and served up by Dalton's popFood class. This was yet another in a series of sold-out pop-up restaurants created by Dalton's students and their teachers. On the menu, among other items were hand-roasted (on Dalton's own roaster) gourmet coffee, brick oven breakfast pizza, risotto and lime meringue pie.
PopFood is a high school course with a focus on cooking skills and hospitality. Taught and organized by students and faculty with a culinary background, modules include coffee making, Indian cooking, knife skills, and two restaurants. We hope to bring together members of the Dalton community-- faculty, family, and friends-- to celebrate the power of good food and the impact of sustainable ingredients.
This year's brunch is inspired by Big Sur Bakery, located in California.
