Dalton Represents NYC at Robotics World Championship
Dalton's most successful high school robotics season was capped off at the FIRST World Championship in St. Louis, MO. 128 teams from around the world gathered to compete, and two of Dalton's five robotics teams were there to represent NYC. The nine qualifying rounds lasted three days, and at the end of the second day with one match to play both Dalton teams were undefeated in their divisions and were ranked #1 (team Uncertainty Principle) and #2 (team Atomic Theory).
Even though both lost their final matches, they ranked high enough to move on to the elimination rounds. Uncertainty Principle ended up getting knocked out in the division semifinals, while Atomic Theory advanced to the finals but was beaten by the eventual World Champions. In the end, Atomic Theory ranked #2 and Uncertainty Principle was #8 in their respective divisions.
Please join us in congratulating our teams and wishing them luck next season!
