Middle School Service Day

Dalton partnered with organizations such as Daniel's Music Foundation, New York Cares, City Year New York, and Association to Benefit Children for Grades 7 and 8 Service Day on Friday, April 20. Overarching goals for the day included:

  • Supporting the volunteer efforts of established service programs in New York City; 
  • Allowing students to have a “hands-on” service experience away from the Dalton campus; 
  • Providing an opportunity for students to understand the impact of their efforts within the greater needs of NYC; and
  • Structuring connections between students in the 7th and 8th grades to reflect upon their experience and how they might continue their contributions through further service learning.
