Scholastic Editor Congratulates Two MS Writers

Two Grade 6 students Aiden Leathers and Daniel Wagman were selected as winners of Scholastic Scope magazine's writing contests for the September 2018 issue.
Aiden Leathers won Scope's Medusa Contest. Editorial Director, Kristin Lewis, wrote, "We loved your detailed analysis of the traits celebrated in the story of Perseus. Great work!" Aiden's prize is a copy of Rick Riordan's The Trials of Apollo. Daniel Wagman (new to Dalton this year) won Scope's Mars Contest. Editorial Director, Kristen Lewis, wrote, "We loved your creative and persuasive explanation for why you felt Philip wouldn't have been a successful Mars colonist. Great work!" Daniel's prize is a copy of Last Day on Mars by Kevin Emerson. Thousands of students from across the nation enter these contests, so this is truly a notable accomplishment.
