Since winter break, students have been reading many pictures books to answer one important question: which book most deserves their vote for the 2019 Dalton Award? The Dalton Award follows the same rules as the Caldecott Award, a prestigious prize in children's literature awarded annually to the illustrator who has created the most distinguished artwork for a book published in the previous year. This week, students have been casting their ballots in this student-only election; tune in next week when we announce the winners!
