Dalton Scaffolding Comes Down. Let There Be Light!
The construction bridge and related scaffolding disappeared, seemingly like magic, over the weekend of November 9-10 at Big Dalton to the delight of Dalton community members.
For over three years, scaffolding protected passersby from the construction on Dalton’s historic building project -- long enough that newer community members had never seen the school’s unfettered facade. Until now.
On Monday, students happily walked along 89th Street’s clear, unobstructed sidewalk, the sight of hard hats and construction paraphernalia now a distant memory. Warm, natural light once again floods our classrooms and the Dalton banner flies proudly above our school entrance -- a perfect symbol of Dalton’s historic past and our bright future.
A big thanks to our building services and security teams for keeping our community safe and secure throughout the building project!
