Faculty & Staff Meet for Spring Affinity/Identity/Accountability Session

An integral part of Dalton’s DEI professional development programming, faculty and staff participated in their final affinity/identity/accountability session for the school year on Wednesday, April 14.
The sessions enable faculty and staff to engage in community conversation and action, as well as receive one-on-one support from colleagues and peers. The development of cultural competency for all faculty and staff helps propel our commitment to becoming an anti-racist community. It also reaffirms our commitment to creating a school where equity and inclusion for all community members is paramount.

Each faculty and staff member who facilitated the spaces attended several training sessions led by  Carle Institute founders Benny Vasquez and Randy Clancy.

We plan to continue these sessions throughout the upcoming school year and incorporate new ideas from our Interim DEI Director Yom Fox.
