Dalton HS Students Host Sixth Annual Bit by Bit Conference
On Saturday, April 17, five Dalton students, Celia Aboaf ‘21, Stella Anderson ‘22, Cassie Clark ‘21, Julia Freitag ‘21, and Alyssa Shah ‘22, hosted the sixth annual Bit by Bit Conference, an event dedicated to breaking barriers for girls in technology.
The hosts welcomed 300 high school girls spanning 17 countries on five continents to this year’s virtual conference.
The complete program of events included keynote presentations, interactive workshops, icebreakers, information on pursuing future opportunities, and prize-winning challenges.
This year, some of the distinguished speakers included VP of Product Engineering at Netflix Julia Grace; Director of Engineering for Games at the New York Times Allison McHenry; and CEO of Girls Who Code Dr. Tarika Barrett.
